Susannah Baird was one of our first guests to Happy on the Hill and an Olfactorist – a perfume maker. Following her visit, she sent us this message:

“I contacted my wonderful and very talented friend Liz Moores, who owns Papillon Artisan Perfumes and asked her to create a fragrance that would go some way to capture the wonderful feeling of Gabriel's Wagon and all its scent memories. I wrote her a detailed scent description and the result is something very special that I hope you will both love and enjoy. Just as someone might commission an artist to create a painting of a particular place, I've done the same. Call it an olfactory portrait. Where you hang it is up to you. “

Liz has used only the best quality naturals from the perfume industry's most renowned supplier. There are no synthetic ingredients in the fragrance. 

Cedar wood is prominent in the composition and oak moss features as proudly as the two guardian oak trees that protect the wagon. There is a beautiful hedgerow floral heart with geranium, rose and elderflower to scent.
